Adam C. Hobson, CPA, MBA
Adam formed Hobson and Company in 2011 to satisfy the unique needs of small businesses, self-employed individuals, and nonprofit organizations in southern Maine. His personable approach to seemingly complex tax and financial issues puts clients at ease. He enjoys spending time with entrepreneurs and often provides insight beyond the tax and accounting specialties. His operational experience supplies him with proven expertise to draw upon when trying to look at a situation and determining the best course of action.
Adam has a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Master's Degree in Business from the University of Maine. He is proud to be a veteran of the United States Air Force and served two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf.
He lives in Saco with Jennene and their two children and likes to golf, hunt, fish, hike, camp, along with almost any activity that gets him outside with his family.
Adam is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennene A. Hobson
Jennene is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, office manager, and sounding board for Hobson and Company. She provides our clients with bookkeeping and payroll services, and also handles office administration for Hobson and Company.
Jennene has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Eastern Washington University (which really helps working with Adam), and courses in accounting.
Jennene lives in Saco with Adam and their two children. When Jennene is not working she likes to cook, hike, run, camp, garden, and spend time with her family.
A. Shawn Casey
Shawn joined Hobson and Company in 2015, after a period of time with another accounting firm in Portland. He comes from a small business background, with a degree in Business Administration with an Accounting focus, from the University of Southern Maine. He is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Shawn lives in Scarborough with his wife and her children. When not working he enjoys travelling, music festivals, camping and experimenting with BBQ cooking.
Hilary Dion, BA
Hilary is the administrative assistant for the office. She provides customer service to all clients and assists in all administrative duties and tasks.
Hilary has her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Southern Maine. She also studied abroad to Galway, Ireland where she studied philosophy and international marketing.
Hilary resides in Portland. When she’s not working you can find her cooking, doing something outside, singing, serving great Italian food at her other job, and spending time with loved ones.
Sarah L. Punsky, AS, BA
Sarah came to Hobson and Company as a bookkeeper in July of 2018. She has had a diverse career in accounting and business management in Maine, New Hampshire and Alabama.
Sarah holds an Associate Degree in Business as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in English, both from the University of Southern Maine.
Sarah lives in Biddeford with her husband and dog, Maya. She has three children and three grandchildren. When not working she likes to hike, snowshoe, read, cook and entertain.
